SUMMARY:When We Get Good Again
DESCRIPTION:Poor but brilliant college student Tracy needs straight A’s to get into a top law school that will forgive her mountain of academic debt so she can be a lawyer for the poor. With the economic odds stacked against her\, she tries to rationalize her job writing term papers for other wealthy students\, including Roy\, a lazy hockey player\, and Nadiya\, an equally brilliant Ukrainian student deficient in English. But she’s not sure she can do it. When We Get Good Again explores the current age in which personal integrity seems to be eroding before our eyes\, and each day seems to bring new headlines about politicians who lie as naturally as they breathe and parents who buy their child’s admission into the college of their choice. In a world of privilege and deprivation\, is it still immoral to cheat in order to level a playing field that is already supposed to be flat? \nProduced by special arrangement with THE DRAMATIC PUBLISHING COMPANY\, INC.\, of Woodstock\, Illinois. \nWhen We Get Good Again was originally produced by Circuit Playhouse\, Inc.\, as a world premiere\, opening on Jan. 10\, 2020\, at TheaterWorks on the Square in Memphis\, Tenn. Michael Detroit\, Executive Producer. But there are some bumps in the road. The sweet and sappy Turtledoves get injured while doing their adorable mating dance. The manic and overworked Calling Birds decide to postpone Christmas until spring when shipping and fuel costs are lower. The Six Geese a-Laying have flown south to Florida for the winter\, taking most of the Seven Swans a-Swimming with them. And just when things can’t possibly get any worse for Shirley\, the evil Christmas Hoarder steals the Five Golden Rings\, adding them to his growing holiday collection of Christmas ornaments\, Hanukkah menorahs\, Kwanzaa fruits\, Diwali candles … and entire Thanksgiving dinners. But things begin looking up when Alyssa—a super-cool steampunk swan—befriends the grumpy Shirley and joins her on her quest. Will they be able to save Christmas? Or will they decide to break with tradition and “mix things up a little?” With fresh dialogue and vivid characters\, The Twelve Days of Christmas is a playful\, modern interpretation of the classic Christmas song. \nAUDITIONS FOR THIS PRODUCTION WILL CONSIST OF COLD READINGS FROM THE SCRIPT (INCLUDING THE GENERAIC BRITISH AND FRENCH ACCENTS)\, A “RAP SESSION”\, AND PYSICALITY. \n*************************************************************************** \nEVENING THEATRE PRODUCTION – “A Nice Family Christmas” by Phil Olson \nDirected by Mark Carrier \nProduced by special arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French\, Inc. www.concordtheatricals.com \nFirst Rehearsal: Monday\, October 7th\, 2024 \nRehearsal Schedule: Monday\, Wednesday\, and Thursday Evenings Beginning @ 7pm. \n(Additional Dates may be added\, if needed) \nPerformance Dates: Fridays and Saturdays\, December 6th\, 7th\, 13th\, 14th\, 20th\, and 21st\, 2024 @ 8:00 p.m.\, and Sunday\, December 8th\, 2024 @ 2:00 p.m. \nStrike Date: Sunday\, December 22nd\, 2024 \nCASTING REQUIREMENTS: \nTotal Number of Actors: 7 \nAge range: 20’s to 80’s \nNumber of Women: 4 \nNumber of Men: 3 \nAll ethnicities are welcome. \nThere are no roles for anyone under 18 in this production. \nLIST OF CHARACTERS: \nCARL: Male\, 20’s to 30’s – The middle brother. SUMMARY:The Charitable Sisterhood Christmas Spectacular
DESCRIPTION:Christmas\, 1977\, is only three weeks away\, and the ladies of the Charitable Sisterhood are preparing for Second Trinity Church’s annual Christmas Spectacular … but they’re having trouble staying focused on their preparations because there’s a criminal on the loose—someone has stolen the baby Jesus figure from his place in Second Trinity’s nativity scene. Sisterhood leader Bea Littleton is certain that the culprit is her longtime rival\, Lucille Orton\, from First Salvation (a place of extremely strict beliefs just up the road). Bea and the other sisterhood members decide that they need help getting to the bottom of things\, and they call in honorary member and private investigator Janet Murchison to delve more deeply into things and see if she can determine who the perpetrator is. By show time\, Janet is starting to think she knows exactly who is guilty of what … but the truth can’t be revealed until the end of the Spectacular. As a result\, we watch from both onstage and backstage\, as the sisterhood performs sacred songs and satirical skits (after all\, where else does Santa meet the Wise Men at the manger?). The fun doesn’t let up until the hilarious revelation at the show’s climax\, which leaves the audience and the sisterhood filled with the very best spirit of the Christmas season. \nProduced by special arrangement with THE DRAMATIC PUBLISHING COMPANY\, INC.\, of Woodstock\, Illinois. \nThe Charitable Sisterhood Christmas Spectacular was originally produced by Virginia Repertory Theatre\, Richmond\, Va. \nDirected by Brett Hainley \nSeason Tickets Available HERE \nIndividual Tickets Available HERE

\nAUDITIONS FOR THIS PRODUCTION WILL CONSIST OF COLD READINGS FROM THE SCRIPT. \n***************************************************************************\nThe Company OnStage\, Inc. SUMMARY:Cinderella Goes Disco
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]This wildly entertaining adaptation of the classic story is an audience participation experience which combines three traditional fairy tales in a most unusual fashion. The Prince has invited all of the kingdom’s young ladies to a disco ball at the palace\, but poor Cinderella is convinced she cannot go because she has nothing to wear. The Fairy Godmother of course saves the day telling Cinderella the stories of “Sleeping Beauty” and “Beauty and the Beast\,” boosting her confidence. Her appearance at the ball is the stuff of fairy tales. \nWritten by Schubert Fendrich \nDirected by Patrick Thornton \nProduced by special arrangement with PIONEER DRAMA SERVICE\, INC.\, Englewood\, Colorado[/vc_column_text][vc_raw_js el_id=”univ-eventbrite-btn”]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[/vc_raw_js][vc_column_text]More Ticket and Event Information at Eventbrite[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:"ART" by Yasmina Reza\, Translated by Christopher Hampton
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]How much would you pay for a white painting? Would it matter who the painter was? Would it be art? One of Marc’s best friends\, Serge\, has just bought a very expensive painting. It’s about five feet by four\, all white with white diagonal lines. To Marc\, the painting is a joke\, but Serge insists Marc doesn’t have the proper standard to judge the work. Another friend\, Ivan\, though burdened by his own problems\, allows himself to be pulled into this disagreement. Eager to please\, Ivan tells Serge he likes the painting. \nLines are drawn and these old friends square off over the canvas\, using it as an excuse to relentlessly batter one another over various failures. As their arguments become less theoretical and more personal\, they border on destroying their friendships. At the breaking point\, Serge hands Marc a felt tip pen and dares him: “Go on.” This is where the friendship is finally tested\, and the aftermath of action\, and its reaction\, affirms the power of those bonds. \n  \nDirected by Karla Brandau \nProduced by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service.[/vc_column_text][vc_raw_js el_id=”univ-eventbrite-btn”]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[/vc_raw_js][vc_column_text]More Event & Ticket Information at Eventbrite[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
