The Talented Performers of Our 2023 Summer GALA

We are so grateful to the talented performers that have volunteered their time to support The Company OnStage at our Summer Gala! Some have graced our stage before, but others are new artists who wanted to be a part of our mission to keep the arts alive in Southwest Houston. You can see them live on July 22, 2023. It will be a night to remember!

Karelia Beaulieu- Karelia Beaulieu is a professional actress and musician from Houston. She has performed and studied throughout the United States. Her repertoire consists of opera, solo/ collaborative piano, plays, musicals, musical cabarets, as well as short films and was featured in a commercial. Aside from performing on stage, in every production she’s in Karelia also does the accompanying house music. This past spring, she made her Company OnStage debut as Cinderella in Cinderella Goes Disco, where she also did the background music. She would love to personally thank Kelsey Paul-Griswold, her mother, Joshua Harris, and the Company OnStage.

Cesalina Davidson- Cesalina Davidson (Singer) has been performing since the age of three. She loves doing local theater around Houston and has done shows at Houston Community College, Theatre Southwest, Inspiration Stage, and at the Company OnStage. She also sings at private events around town and gives private vocal lessons as an accredited instructor. In addition, she attended the Humphreys School and was part of TUTS Academy for several years. She thanks her mom for always being a driving force, and helping her achieve her goals in hopes to be on Broadway one day soon while attending a performance art school in NYC.

Jennifer Finger- Jennifer Finger is making her first appearance with the Company OnStage. She studied with actor, coach and playwright John Pallotta in New York and appeared in productions of his shows Nightmare on Mulberry Street and How I Killed My Roommate…and Got Away With It. She has performed with the Instant Shakespeare Company, Equity Library Theatre, and Quarantine Theater of New York. Her favorite roles include Richard III (Lady Anne), Henry VI Part I (Joan la Pucelle), As You Like It (Rosalind), Twelfth Night (Viola), Maggie’s Dream (Maggie), Catherine and Petruchio (Bianca), and Arsenic and Old Lace (Aunt Abby). Thank you to the Company OnStage for this acting opportunity!

She has numerous awards and medals and led her team to placing second in the Nation and Fifth in World as Captain. She was also a Junior Coach her senior year, and her student was the mini National Champion. She has received an academic scholarship to Texas Tech and will be attending in the Fall. This is Ella’s first time with Company OnStage and looks forward to networking with both theater and business oriented individuals. She is hoping to break into theater on the choreography side of performance. She thanks everyone at Company OnStage for this opportunity.

Nicholas Garelick (Master of Ceremonies)- Nicholas Garelick is a member of the Company OnStage board and has previously appeared on stage in several COS productions, including The Lion in Winter, The Young Man From Atlanta, A Christmas Carol, The Pied Piper of Hamlintown, and Robin Hood. He was also the first director for our Local Authors Series for Bryan Maynard’s Write Here, Write Now. His own work, {Adjective} [Noun], was featured later in the series. Nicholas credits COS as the place he met his wife, Lauren Hainley, though neither of them know exactly when. They both blame the hard life of the theatre professional for this lapse.

Julie Gersib- Julie Gersib became active in Houston Theatre about four years ago, following a twenty year hiatus from performing. She has appeared in productions at various Houston Area Theaters, and she is grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the COS Gala.

Avalynn Ly – Avalynn Ly has been writing songs since high school and has loved performing them at coffee shops and open mics. She has never performed with COS before, but she has been in other productions with another theater company. You can find her work on Instagram, YouTube, and Soundcloud. You can also find her at the occasional open mic around town, especially Mondays at Ladybird’s Bar in the Heights.

Previous works include Art (Yvan), The Diary of Anne Frank (Mr. Kraler), and Enchanted April (Mellersh Wilton). In his off time (which he never has), Frank is an accomplished costume designer, with recent costumes worn by kings, queens and many other cast members of the Texas Renaissance Festival. He wishes to thank his family and friends for their continued love and support.

Megan Noser- Megan Noser is a Junior at Long Island University studying Musical Theater. She made her theatrical debut at Company OnStage during Actors in Wonderland summer camp when she was just 7 years old, and her co-directorial debut at 18 with The Secret Garden!
