AUDTITIONS – “Fantastic Mr. Fox” and “Clue”

The Company OnStage is excited to announce that we are hosting auditions for Fantastic Mr. Fox, adapted for the stage by David Wood, from the book by Ronald Dahl and Clue written by Sandy Rustin.

Auditions will take place on Sunday, March 14^th, and Monday, March 15^th, 2027, beginning at 7 pm at 5720 Bellaire Blvd, Suite G, Houston, TX 77081. We ask that participants arrive 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork and introduce yourself to the stage managers and directors. If you have a headshot and resume, please bring them (not required). There are no audition appointments, and actors will not need prepared monologues. The evening will cover the auditions for both shows, beginning with the Young Audiences Production. During each show’s audition, all actors will have an opportunity to demonstrate their skills in a group setting with the director selecting sides and combinations of participants to read together or independently. Please be prepared to move and make bold choices!

SYNOPSIS
Roald Dahl’s much-loved story follows the vain attempts of three farmers, Boggis, Bunce and Bean (one fat, one short, one lean), to get rid of the fox who regularly steals food from their farms. Despite their efforts to eliminate the fox by any means possible, the hapless farmers are outwitted at every turn. Ultimately, Fantastic Mr. Fox devises a plan to ensure full stomachs for his family and friends, all of whom celebrate with a sumptuous feast.

SYNOPSIS
It’s a dark and stormy night, and our cast of oddball characters has been invited to a very unusual dinner party. Each of the guests has an alias, the butler offers a variety of weapons, and the host is, well, dead. So whodunit? Join the iconic oddballs known as Scarlet, Plum, White, Green, Peacock and Mustard as they race to find the murderer in Boddy Manor before the body count stacks up. Based on the cult classic film and the popular board game, Clue is a madcap comedy that will keep you guessing until the final twist.
