AUDITIONS – Treasure Island & Meteor Shower
March 3, 2024 - March 4, 2024
The Company OnStage is excited to announce that we are hosting auditions for “Treasure Island” and ” Meteor Shower”.
Auditions will take place on Sunday, March 3, and Monday, March 4, 2024 beginning at 7pm at 5720 Bellaire Blvd, Suite G, Houston, TX 77081. We ask that participants arrive 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork and introduce yourself to the stage managers. If you have a headshot and resume, please bring it (not required). There are no audition appointments, and actors will not need prepared monologues. The evening will cover the auditions for both shows, beginning with “Treasure Island”. During each show’s audition, all actors will have an opportunity to demonstrate their skills in a group setting with the director selecting sides and combinations of participants to read together or independently. Please be prepared to move and make bold choices!

And Saturday afternoons beginning at 3pm from April 20th – May 11th.

Performance Dates: Saturdays May 18th, 25th, June 1st, 8th, and 15th, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. and Sundays, May 19th, 26th, and June 9th, 2024.

Age Range: Late Teens through 60+
Number of Men: Up to 4
Number of Women: 2+
All ethnicities are welcome.
Actors must be comfortable with physical comedy, playing multiple roles and unserious singing.
There are no roles for anyone under 18 in this production.

SYNOPSIS:
The story of Long John Silver and his pirate crew spill from the spirited imagination of a young girl. Emily dreams of being a pirate, although wanting to be a businesswoman would be more sensible. Her dream comes to life in this version of Stevenson’s classic tale, where she is Jim Hawkins in the story of wicked pirates, good old English pluck and buried treasure.

SYNOPSIS:
Corky and Norm are excited to host Gerald and Laura at their home in the valley outside Los Angeles to watch a once-in-a-lifetime meteor shower. But as the stars come out and the conversation gets rolling, it becomes clear that Gerald and Laura might not be all that they appear to be. Over the course of a crazy, starlit dinner party, the wildly unexpected occurs. The couples begin to flirt and insanity reigns. Martin, using his trademark absurdist humor, bends the fluid nature of time and reality to create a surprising and unforgettably funny new play.
