Each season, our Board of Directors plays a critical role in shaping the future of our organization, and we’re thrilled to share some exciting news: four incredible individuals have joined our Board of Directors following our 2025 nomination and search process!

Each of these leaders brings a unique background, wealth of expertise, and passion for the arts. Get to know our newest board members below, and join us in celebrating the talent and vision they bring to The Company OnStage.
Thomas Berkes
Corporate Finance Executive | Educator | Community Advocate
Thomas Berkes joins the Board with over two decades of experience in international finance, corporate strategy, and entrepreneurship. With degrees from the London Business School and University of São Paulo, he has held leadership roles at Spanish Group, Santander, and now serves as Managing Partner at Wealth Alchemists. His work spans the Americas and Europe, with a focus on corporate, project and structured trade finance transactions, and impact-driven financial strategy.
In addition to his corporate achievements, Thomas has served as a visiting professor and dedicated community volunteer across multiple organizations. He recently relocated to Houston and is eager to support local arts and nonprofit leadership.

Allison Rozell
Educator | Performer | Theatre Professional
A beloved member of our COS stage family, Allison Rozell first joined us in Charlotte’s Web and quickly became an indispensable part of the community, both on and off stage. From acting and directing to scenic painting and production coordination, she embodies the spirit of creative collaboration.
Allison holds a BA in Psychology and Drama from the University of St. Thomas. She currently works as a teacher and administrator for The Spotlight Project and the University of Houston Clear Lake’s Art School for Children, with a focus on inclusive, developmentally appropriate theatre education.

Rency Shah
Project Management | Strategic Consultant
Rency Shah brings over 13 years of experience in the energy, infrastructure, and manufacturing sectors. In her current role as a project management professional, she leads cross-functional teams and streamlines complex project execution to drive results.
A graduate of UT Austin’s McCombs School of Business, Rency earned her MBA with Dean’s honor roll for Academic excellence and has contributed to multiple mission-driven organizations as a strategy consultant. Her deep commitment to civic engagement and systems thinking will help COS chart a path for long-term sustainability and growth.

Ashley Shaunte
Multidisciplinary Artist | Writer | Storyteller | Creative Producer
Ashley Shaunte is a creative force whose work spans stage, page, and digital platforms. An actress, director, author, and ASCAP-licensed songwriter and publisher, Ashley is also a fashion stylist, podcaster, and contributor to various digital media outlets. She’s passionate about using storytelling as a tool for healing, empowerment, and cultural connection.
With an eye for bold ideas and a voice that inspires, Ashley brings a dynamic perspective to the Board and a strong belief in theatre as a space for transformation and truth-telling.
“Stories shape our world—and I’m here to help make sure our community’s stories are told with authenticity, heart, and imagination.”

We are grateful to have Thomas, Allison, Rency, and Ashley join our leadership team at a time of exciting growth and renewed energy at The Company OnStage. As we look to the 2025–2026 season and beyond, their expertise and enthusiasm will play a vital role in shaping our programming, outreach, and community engagement efforts.
